"Red Squad"/ Ray Wood, part 1
Dublin Core
Title
"Red Squad"/ Ray Wood, part 1
Description
This is a clip from an early 70's NYU student film, "Red Squad", which examines the covert department of the NYPD in charge of investigating political activists.
In this clip, an attorney discusses how Black undercover police officers were used to infiltrate such organizations and the significance of Ray Wood, in general. He also discusses how Wood successfully infiltrated Bronx CORE. I have spoken to several Harlem core members who have stated that he had, in some ways, infiltrated New York CORE and was known to several of them (before he was exposed).
