              <text>  This is a photo of 7 Arts member Lloyd Richards. Both he and his wife Barbara were among the founding  members of 7 Arts CORE. &#13;

   Richards, as the director of the original 1959 production of "Raisin in the Sun" , was the first Black to direct on Broadway. A founding member of the Negro Ensemble Company, he went on to become the director of the Yale Repertory theater and a dean at Yale University. He is also  the winner of several Tony Awards and the National Medal of Arts.&#13;
