              <text> This is a Aug. 15, 1963 photo of Brooklyn CORE members walking to March on Washington. They are on Fort Hamilton Parkway in Brooklyn walking towards the 69th St. ferry.&#13;

 On Aug. 15, 1963, a group of CORE members primarily from Brooklyn CORE started from the Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and walked 230 miles to Washington, D.C., for  the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on Aug. 28, 1963. &#13;
&#13;
 The marchers included Sylvia Simon, Lena Crosson, Agatha Hassell, Mike Zapata, August Austin, Janet Rose, Sam Johnson, Chuck Killens, Larry Cumberbatch, Leroy Smith, Milton Saunders,  Isaian Brunson, Kenneth Peterson, the Freedom Rider Jo Adler, and Tony Spencer of Harlem CORE.&#13;

 The CORE members here are currently unidentified. However, Arnie Goldwag can be seen walking in the back row on the left hand side.</text>
