              <text>This is a 1967 photo of Charles 37X Kenyatta (left, helmet) and South Jamaica CORE's education chairman Herman Ferguson (right, shades, coat and tie). The photo was taken at the 2nd Black Power Conference in Newark, New Jersey.&#13;
Both are former associates of Malcolm X who went on to start their own organizations. Kenyatta was a member of X's Muslim Mosque Inc. and the founder of the Harlem Mau Mau. Ferguson was a member of X's Organization of Afro-American Unity and the founder of the Black Brotherhood Improvement Association. </text>
