Title

film clip of New York CORE demonstrating at 125th st. Woolworths, 1960

Description

from the Digital Library of Georgia website:
"In this WSB newsfilm clip from February 13, 1960, demonstrators with the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) picket a F.W. Woolworth store and a S.H. Kress store in support of the North Carolina student sit-ins in New York City, New York."

If you look carefully, you'll see a protester carrying a sign that states they are from New York CORE. The Woolworth store is the same one in the photo between the photos of Susan Brownmiller and Sheila Michaels on the 'Browse items' page. The Kress store is (I believe) on 106th street.
